Privacy policy

Animal Care Training Services (ACTS). Last updated October 8, 2026.

Animal Care Training Services (“ACTS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through actstraining.com (the “Site”) and when you contact us, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our consultation or contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, institution, phone number, the service you are interested in, how you heard about us, and any details you include in your message. We also record the page you came from and any campaign tags in the link. If you email or call us, we keep the information you share so we can respond.

Information collected automatically. If you accept analytics cookies, we and our service providers collect standard usage data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and general location (city or region). We also record interactions such as clicks on email, phone, and contact links, and whether the contact form was started or submitted. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Spam protection. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people apart from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to your use of reCAPTCHA.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations;
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content and performance;
  • Communicate with you about ACTS services you have requested or expressed interest in;
  • Protect the Site and our contact form from spam and abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors find and use the Site. It runs only if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. It then sets cookies and sends usage data to Google, which handles it under its own privacy policy. Advertising features stay off.
  • Google reCAPTCHA runs on the contact form to filter spam. Cloudflare Turnstile also checks form submissions for automated spam.
  • Google Fonts supplies some of the Site’s typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.

Analytics stays off unless you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Who handles your information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, and only as they need it to do that work:

  • Webflow hosts the Site and stores contact form submissions.
  • Google Workspace provides our business email, where form submissions and messages are delivered and answered.
  • Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA provide site analytics and spam protection. Cloudflare Turnstile also screens contact form submissions for spam.
  • Brevo sends occasional email updates to people who have worked with us or asked to hear from us.
  • Sogolytics runs the confidential staff survey for the ACTS Insights Scorecard.
  • QuickBooks handles invoicing for our clients.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

ACTS Insights Scorecard surveys

If your institution uses the ACTS Insights Scorecard, the confidential staff survey runs on Sogolytics, a third-party survey platform. Staff work email addresses are loaded into Sogolytics so each person receives a unique survey link. Responses are anonymized and managed by Sogolytics, and individual responses are not identifiable by ACTS or by your institution.

Where information is stored

ACTS is based in the United States. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries, and some members of our team work from outside the United States, including in the European Union. Wherever your information is handled, we protect it as this policy describes.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Contact form submissions are kept in Webflow and in our business email.

Your choices and rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. You can unsubscribe from our email updates at any time using the link in any update. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including rights to access, deletion, correction, and to opt out of certain processing. We will honor applicable rights requests.

How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the size of our business and the information we hold, including:

  • The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, so form submissions are encrypted in transit.
  • Our business email runs on Google Workspace, which encrypts data in transit and at rest and filters spam, phishing, and malware.
  • We publish SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for our email domain so receiving mail servers can check that email claiming to come from ACTS is genuine.
  • reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare Turnstile screen automated spam on the contact form.
  • Access to personal information is limited to ACTS team members who need it to respond to you or provide our services.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a professional, institutional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
